Senior Broadcast Engineer

News 12 New Jersey • Edison, NJ

April 2022 – February 2025

Lead and sometimes sole engineer for the Edison facility, responsible for designing and installing new equipment and systems, providing support to operations and news staff, and performing maintenance on station equipment.

  • Helped rebuild Grass Valley Ignite Automation system and integrated it with new LAWO audio system for all control rooms
  • Monitored and performed maintenance on Evertz JPEG2000 streams for broadcasts between NJ and CT
  • Stayed on-call to assist with outages and production issues beyond normally scheduled hours
  • Assisted Windows Security team in troubleshooting Microsoft Intune issues affecting file sharing and policy within production

Controlled audio/video of final product, including inserting commercials, recording and playing back live programming, prepping pre-taped programming for air, and monitoring on-air signal for quality.
